Creating Drop-Down Menus

Creating Drop-Down Menus

By creating a drop-down menu, you can have your visitors select an item from a list of options in a drop-down menu.  To create your own drop down menu, use the information provided in the example below to do this.

Example

Suppose you would like to have your visitors select from a list of the first 5 US states.  Below is the code you would enter to do this:

State:    <select name="states">
<option value="alabama">AL
<option value="alaska">AK
<option value="arizona">AZ
<option value="arkansas">AR
<option value="california">CA
</select>

Note: The input name, "alabama", "alaska", etc. must not have any spaces in it. So Rhode Island must be entered "RhodeIsland".
