Text Input Option

The text input option will allow customers to type in information for a product.  This is generally used to create custom products, such as adding text to mugs, inscribing glass, silk screening shirts, etc.. Outlined Steps

Shared or Regular Option?
If you are planning on adding the text input option to multiple products, you should set it up as a shared option.  Otherwise, you should set it up as a regular option for just one product.  Please select the appropriate instruction steps below.

Text Input as Shared Option:
1. Press the Catalog tab
2. Select "Shared Options" on the left
3. Select "Text Input" from the drop-down menu
4. Press the "New" button
5. Make your selections
6. Press the "Save Changes button"
7. Select "Products" on the left
8. Checkmark a product
9. Press the "Edit" button
10. Press "Options" on the left
11. Next to "Add Shared Option", select the text input option you created
12. Press the "New" button to the right of it

Text Input as a Regular Option:
1. Press the Catalog tab
2. Select "Products" on the left
3. Checkmark a product
4. Press the "Edit" button
5. Press "Options" on the left
6. Next to "Add New Option", select "Text Input" from the drop-down menu
7. Press the "New" button to the right of it
