Uploading and downloading using CoffeeCup FTP

This article will show you how to configure the CoffeeCup FTP program to upload and download your website files.  CoffeeCup FTP is a free FTP program that is available at http://www.coffeecup.com/free-ftp/.

Configuring the Server Profile:

1. Open CoffeeCup FTP
2. Go to File > Manage Servers
3. Press the Add Server button
4. Enter the following information:

Nickname: (enter your domain name)
Server: (enter your domain name)
Username: (enter your username)
Password: (enter your password)
Passive Mode: Enabled

5. Press the "More Options" button



6. Enter the following information:

Protocol: FTP
Port: 21
Local Folder: (press "Browse" and select the folder where you HTML files are stored at)
Remote Folder: httpdocs


7. Press OK

To Upload Files:

1. Go to File > Quick Connect > (Your Website Name)
2. In the left pane, highlight he files you wish to upload (CTRL+Click or Edit > Select All)
3. Press "Upload"

To Download Files:

1. Go to File > Quick Connect > (Your Website Name)
2. In the right pane, highlight he files you wish to upload (CTRL+Click or Edit > Select All)
3. In the left pane, select the folder you wish to download the files to
4. Press "Download"
